From Zero to Building Real Products – My Journey as a Developer
When I first started learning programming, everything felt overwhelming. There were too many technologies, too many tutorials, and honestly… no clear path.
I wasn’t sure what to focus on. Should I learn frontend? Backend? Mobile? Or everything at once?
The Confusion Phase
Like most developers, I started by watching tutorials and building small projects. But there was always a gap between “following along” and actually building something real.
I realized something important:
Watching tutorials doesn’t make you a developer. Building does.
The Shift: Building Real Projects
Everything changed when I decided to stop overthinking and start building actual products.
Instead of small demos, I focused on solving real problems:
- A SaaS platform for restaurant management
- A mobile real estate app for Arabic users
- AI-powered travel experiences
That’s when things started to click.
I wasn’t just coding anymore — I was engineering solutions.
What I Learned
Here are a few lessons that made the biggest difference:
1. Depth > Random Learning
You don’t need to learn everything. Pick a stack and go deep.
2. Projects Are Everything
Your projects are your real CV. They show how you think, not just what you know.
3. UI/UX Matters More Than You Think
Even the best backend won’t save a bad user experience.
4. Consistency Beats Motivation
You won’t feel motivated every day — but showing up daily compounds fast.
Where I Am Now
Right now, I’m focused on building scalable products:

And I’m still learning every day.
